Honey Ale Pulled Pork with Orange BBQ Sauce


  • 1 lb. Yellow onion,  medium dice
  • 3 Jalapenos, seeded and diced
  • 10 Garlic Cloves, chopped
  • 5lbs. pork loin
  • 6 bottles Honeymoon Summer Ale
  • 4 cups chicken broth

BBQ Sauce:

  • 5 cups Orange marmalade
  • 1 cup Cider Vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1 cup onion, medium diced
  • 1 cup reserved pork stock

Sauté the jalapenos, garlic, and onion until caramelized and deglaze with honeymoon summer ale and reduce by 1/2 and then add the pork loin, and chicken broth.

Place into your SmokinTex smoker oven for 2 hours at a temperature of 220°F.

When the pork is fork tender, remove from liquid and shred.

Reserve 1 cup degreased cooking liquid for bbq sauce.

To make the BBQ sauce, caramelize the garlic and onion, then add the pork stock and reduce by 1/2. Then add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 min or until desired thickness.
